Angelique Shivers, a native of the San Francisco/Bay Area, is driven by a strong passion to contribute to the academic, economic, and educational success of her community. Her genuine desire to alleviate the burdens of others fuels her dedication to making a positive impact.
As an elementary school educator, Angelique has found fulfillment in nurturing her students' growth and development.
Beyond her teaching career, Angelique has also served as a Project Manager and Administrative Assistant for a religious non-profit organization, showcasing her exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills. These qualities, combined with her compassion and understanding of daily community challenges, have made her a valuable asset.
Angelique's commitment to empowering people of color led her to join Both Sides of the Conversation, recognizing it as a unique platform to unite, inspire, and share culturally relevant information. As a self-described "problem solver and solution-maker," she brings her resourcefulness, facilitation, and planning skills to her role in the organization.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies with an emphasis on Education and Ethnic Studies from The University of California, Berkeley. Beyond her professional pursuits, Angelique enjoys traveling, listening to music, engaging in DIY projects, hiking, and cherishing quality time with her family and friends. Her dedication and passion exemplify a true champion of community progress and empowerment.
