Content Creator

As a Content Creator, you will be responsible for producing engaging and compelling content across various digital platforms, including social media, website, and newsletters. Your creative skills will play a vital role in amplifying our mission and driving positive change within our community.

Responsibilities

  • Generate original and innovative content for various digital platforms, including social media, website, and newsletter.

  • Create visually appealing graphics, images, and videos to accompany the content.

  • Collaborate with the marketing and production team to develop content strategies.

  • Research and stay up-to-date with community trends and relevant topics to incorporate into the content.

  • Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy and consistency before publication.

  • Engage with the online community, respond to comments, and encourage audience interaction.

  • Assist in content planning and scheduling to maintain a consistent posting calendar.

  • Monitor content performance and analyze data to optimize future content strategies.

  • Embrace the organization's mission and values, reflecting them in the content created.

  • Measure web traffic to content (e.g. conversion and bounce rates).

  • Update website as needed.

  • Conduct keyword research and use SEO (Search Engine Optimization) guidelines to optimize content.

  • Attend staff meetings as well as marketing and production meetings.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Passion for the nonprofit sector and our organization's cause.

  • Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.

  • Basic understanding of SEO and content optimization is a plus.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and content formats.

Condition of Volunteerism

  • Must sign a Confidentiality Agreement.

  • Must be flexible to volunteer evenings and weekends as needed.

  • Must complete and/or sign all volunteer or independent paperwork. Independent contractors must complete an MOU, and W9.
