Honoring Humor and Heritage: Jon Henry Celebrated at Youth 1st & Invest Black Comedy Awards

On the memorable evening of August 12, 2023, the Richmond Masonic Center in San Francisco became a beacon of joy and recognition during the Annual Youth 1st & Invest Black Comedy Awards Show. The event, steeped in the spirit of celebration, was a vibrant testament to the power of comedy in championing community engagement and the upliftment of Black voices.

It is with immense pride that we announce our own Executive Director, Jon Henry, stood amongst the esteemed awardees, honored for his unwavering dedication to mentorship and his commitment to advocacy and engagement within the Black community. His recognition speaks volumes about the impact of his leadership and the profound respect he commands within and beyond our organization.

The evening was an electrifying mix of comedy, music, and accolades, with each performer and speaker contributing to a narrative that interwove laughter with the threads of social empowerment.

As laughter resonated through the grand hall, Jon Henry's award reception was a particularly poignant moment, reinforcing the ethos of Both Sides Of The Conversation (BSOTC). It underscored our collective mission to support, and inspire, proving that advocacy and entertainment can join hands in elevating our collective experience.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Jon and all the honorees of the night whose talents and dedication are the bedrock of our vibrant community.

Let us continue to champion the narrative of Black excellence, one joke, one mentorship, and one award at a time.

In gratitude and laughter,

The BSOTC Marketing Team
